Today in History
This Day in History
Jupiter's Io Observed by Spacecraft Galileo (2001)
Photographs taken and transmitted by Galileo, the unmanned spacecraft launched in 1989, allowed scientists to learn more about lo, the innermost of Jupiter's four Galilean moons. The images revealed erupting volcanoes and extraordinary variations in color and brightness. Other data indicated that lo has an iron core and might have its own gravitational field. What is the origin of Io's name?
I thought I would share this with you all. I found it searching and found it interesting. I am glad that you all had a great time at the Beach. I am sorry that I could not join in the activities, this time. The past few weeks I was fighting the cold and it won and I lost. But I am better now and the cold is now losing. I heard that you all had a great time.
Just a reminder of some of our activities that are coming up. A Memorial Luncheon for Pastor Sam's Mother Mary, October 21, 2007 after Church Services. November 10, 2007 we have the Garage Sale at the YMCA. In December we also have the the Donating gifts to the after school program at the YMCA. If you are interesting in this please see Pastor Sam and pick a child. We have some other fun activities also coming up, so stayed tuned. Also if there is any thing that you would like to add to this site or you have some news that you would like to share please feel free to e-mail Pastor Sam at kall487@aol.com or Rochelle at flaca63us@yahoo.com. We will make sure that it gets added to our site, and remember this site is for you, so join in the fun and helps us with getting some information on to it.
God Bless you all and have a great night.
