Journey
As deliberately as you would choose your last words. So your father left this Message.
"I did it for you. I did it all for you."

The father began his journey when he left his home in search of us. Armed with nothing more that a passion to win your hearts. He came looking. His desire was singular - to bring his children home.

God was in Christ, reconciling. The world unto himself.

    Solution
    Solution to Bible Scramble:

He that despiseth his neighbor sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he. Do they not err that devise evil? But mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.

  • Proverbs 14:21-22

  • I hope that you enjoyed this, I will try and come up with some more.

    Scripture Lesson
Today Pastor Sam preached on Over Coming Addictions. During his sermon he gave a us a scripture reading for the week. So I am going to place that lesson here for you to read during the week.

    It comes from Matthew 6:25-34

    Do Not Worry
25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[a]?

28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Bible Treasure Hunt: Solve the clue to discover the treasure, a Bible person, place, or thing. (This was the treasure you were to discover) Hope that you had fun when discovering the treasure)

The word from Paul was that he should,
    While living there in Crete,
Appoint some elders in each town
    Where congregations meet.

    Solution to Bible Treasure Hunt:
    Titus - see Titus 1:5

1Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God's elect and the knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness— 2a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time, 3and at his appointed season he brought his word to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior,

4To Titus, my true son in our common faith:
Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.
    Titus' Task on Crete
5The reason I left you in Crete was that you might straighten out what was left unfinished and appoint[a] elders in every town, as I directed you.

    What He Said
Jesus said,"Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you."

    What He Knows And Does
God does more than forgive our mistakes, he removes them!
We simply have to take them to HIM.

    Have You Ever Wondered
Why God gives so much? We could exist on far less. He could have left the world flat, and gray; We wouldn't have know the difference, but he didn't......

    Psalm 23
I would like to share one of my favorite versus of the Bible.

    A Psalm of David

23:1 The Lord is my Shepard
    I lack nothing.

23:2 He takes me to lush pastures he leads me to refreshing water

23:3 He restores my strength. He leads me down the right paths for the sake of his reputation.

23:4 Even when I must walk through the darkest valley, I fear no danger for you are with me; your rod and staff reassure me

23:5 You prepare a feast before me in plain sight of my enemies. You refresh my head with oil; my cup is completely full.

23:6 Surely your goodness and faithfulness will pursue me all my days, and I will live in the Lords house for the rest of my life.

Just to let you all know I am working on the Video of the service that I taped, and will have that soon to share with you all here.

Thanks for letting me help out the Lord, as being the Church Secretary

    Language of Need
Through the language of need, God speaks to us. It is as he says, "I'm involved in your life. I will take care of you.

My God shall meet all your needs to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

How Well Do You Know Him
Do you ever have difficulty trying to find God?

Do you know the way that leads to his door?

In our relativistic culture the answer is all ways or all religions lead to God. But Jesus made an audacious claim that stands in opposition to that when we said "I am the way, and the truth, an the life on one come to the father except through me:

  • John 14:6

  • Clearly Jesus is saying there are not multiple ways to God, there is only one way to God and that is me. I am the way, interesting how this way is so personal. It's not some path to follow, some command or some teaching to live up to; instead the way to Fod is found in Jesus. Jesus is the way because Jesus is God -- I am in the father and the father is in me.

  • John 14:10

  • So what does it mean for you to follow Jesus as the way God?

What does it mean for you to seek him as the truth?

Some more photos to share with you.

Though we came to the cross dressed in in, we leave the cross dressed in the "Coat of his strong love"

He covered himself with goodness like armor. He put the helmet of salvation on his head, He put on the clothes of punishment and wrapped him self in the coat of his strong Love.

    Conscience
    Don't Trust Your Conscience
    Trust the Cross

You are welcome in the Gods presence.

No one can well perceive the power of faith unless he feels it by experience in his heart.
    John Calvin

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask everything according to his will he hears us.

    Hasn't Left Us
Jesus hasn't left us with an unapproachable God.
Yes, God is holy. Yes we are sinful.
But, yes, yes, yes, Jesus is our mediator.
There is one God and one mediator between God, and men,
the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself,
as a ransom for all men - the testimony given in its proper time.

    God's Promise
    Through The Torn Flesh...

I invite you into my presence

We can enter through a new and living way that Jesus opened for us. It leads through the curtain - Christ's body. And since we have a great high Priest over God's house, let us come to God with a sincere heart and a sure faith, because we have been made free from a guilty conscience and our bodies have been washed with pure water.
