Welcome
To Gift of Grace Worship Center. We are glad that you are part of our family. And as our slogan says "Every Day is A Gift and Your are A Gift". For those who missed our service today here is the message that we had today. "What would you do if today was your Last Day?" And our scripture lesson came from the book of:

Matthew 25:1-13

Matthew 25
The Parable of the Ten Virgins
1"At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

6"At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!'

7"Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8The foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.'

9" 'No,' they replied, 'there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.'

10"But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

11"Later the others also came. 'Sir! Sir!' they said. 'Open the door for us!'

12"But he replied, 'I tell you the truth, I don't know you.'

13"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

Every Gift
Every Gift reveals God's Love...But not gift reveals his love more than than the gifts of the cross. They came, not wrapped in paper, but in passion. Not placed around a tree, but a cross. And not covered with ribbons, but sprinkled with blood. The gifts of the Cross.

The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Roman 6:23

Oh, the things we do to give Gifts to those we love. Every Christmas, Every Birthday, Every so often we find ourselves in foreign territory. Grownups are in Toy stores. Dads are in teen stores. Wives are in the Hunting department, and Husbands are in purse department. And we'd do it all again. Having pressed the grapes of service, we drink life's sweetest wine - the wine of giving.

I will down load some photos from the Youth Christmas Party later tonight, so check back again soon.

Thanks
We would like to take this time to thank those who bought presents and helped out at our After School Youth Program at the YMCA yesterday. The children and the teachers really appreciated the gifts. We all had a great time. I have some pictures that I will download here tonight.

Also here is a little Christmas fact, did you know this.
did you know? The Christmas season begins at sundown on 24th December and lasts through sundown on 5th January. For that reason, this season is also known as the Twelve Days of Christmas.

Welcome Back
Its been a little while since the last post, with the Holidays around the corner my schedule has been a little hectic, but a little post for now. Just a reminder that
today is our YMCA Youth Christmas Party at the YMCA. Also we have a few events that our coming up in December. December 23, 2007 A Special Christmas Program and Lunch, Provided by the Kallloo family. Also this Sunday is Communion Sunday. Also here is last Sunday's message. "Reasons for Christmas" and the scripture reading came from the book of:

Luke 2:8-17

The Shepherds and the Angels

8And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ[a] the Lord. 12This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."

13Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14"Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

15When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."

16So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child,.

Hope to see you all at the YMCA today. Have a great day.
