Sunday's Sermon
Good evening Gift of Grace family members. Hope that your Monday, went well. So for those who missed Sunday, here is the Message Pastor Sam spoke about. "The Leap of faith" and the scripture lesson came from the book of:

Acts 3:1-11

Peter Heals the Crippled Beggar
1One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon. 2Now a man crippled from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. 3When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. 4Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, "Look at us!" 5So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.

6Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." 7Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man's feet and ankles became strong. 8He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. 9When all the people saw him walking and praising God, 10they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
Peter Speaks to the Onlookers
11While the beggar held on to Peter and John, all the people were astonished and came running to them in the place called Solomon's Colonnade.

Also Pastor Jim passed out a great handout for Biblical Prayers, I have scanned a copy for you all here. I will try and do it has an attachment later in the week.

Tonight's Bible Study will be held at Beverly Peters house, you can call Pastor Sam for directions if you need them. Hope to see you all there.

[The kingdom of heaven is] as a man travelling into a far country,
[who] called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods . . .
to every man according to his several ability.

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his
servants ye are to whom ye obey?

All these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every
man severally as he will.--The manifestation of the Spirit is given to
every man to profit withal.--As every man hath received the gift, [even
so] minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold
grace of God.--It is required in stewards, that a man be found
faithful.--Unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to
whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Who [is] sufficient for these things?--I can do all things through
Christ which strengtheneth me.

And For
Sunday's Message. Thanks to everyone for joining us for Easter Service. We had a full house. Thanks to Annette and Eugene for the great selection of music, you guys rock. Well here is the Message from Sunday was “The Resurrection Power” and the scripture lesson came from the book of:

John 20:1-18

The Empty Tomb (Mama Olga to Read)
1Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. 2So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don't know where they have put him!"
3So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. 4Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. 5He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. 6Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, 7as well as the burial cloth that had been around Jesus' head. The cloth was folded up by itself, separate from the linen. 8Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. 9(They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)

Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene (Debbie to Read)
10Then the disciples went back to their homes, 11but Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb 12and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus' body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.
13They asked her, "Woman, why are you crying?"
"They have taken my Lord away," she said, "and I don't know where they have put him." 14At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.
15"Woman," he said, "why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?"
Thinking he was the gardener, she said, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him."
16Jesus said to her, "Mary."
She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, "Rabboni!" (which means Teacher).
17Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.' "
18Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: "I have seen the Lord!" And she told them that he had said these things to her.

Don't forget that our Church Services will be held at 9:30am on Sunday, March 32, 2008. We have a great service planned.

He shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it
shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.

Ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, [as] silver
and gold, from your vain conversation [received] by tradition from your
fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without
blemish and without spot.--Who his own self bare our sins in his own
body on the tree.

He hath made us accepted in the beloved.

As lively stones, . . . built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood,
to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus
Christ.--I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which
is] your reasonable service.

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present
[you] faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the
only wise God our Saviour, [be] glory and majesty, dominion and power,
both now and ever.

Mine eyes fail [with looking] upward.

Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I [am] weak: O LORD, heal me; for my
bones are vexed. My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?
Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.--My
heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen
upon me. Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath
overwhelmed me. And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! [for then]
would I fly away, and be at rest.

Ye have need of patience.

While they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two
men stood by them in white apparel; which also said, Ye men of Galilee,
why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up
from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him
go into heaven.--Our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we
look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.--That blessed hope, and the
glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.

Isa 38:14 Ps 6:2-4 Ps 55:4-6 Heb 10:36 Ac 1:10,11 Php 3:20 Tit 2:1

Also we just to remind the Gift Of Grace Worship Family members that our Sunday Services will be at 9:30am Sunday, March 23, 2008. We have an Easter Egg Hunt for the children and we have a great Service planned. So invite a friend, family member and come join us for our Easter Service.

His name [shall be] in their foreheads.

I am the good shepherd, and know my [sheep].--The foundation of God
standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And,
Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

The LORD [is] good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth
them that trust in him.--Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the
trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

After that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of
promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance.--Now he which stablisheth us
with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, [is] God; who hath also
sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of
my God, [which is] new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from
my God: and [I will write upon him] my new name. --This [is the name]
wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.

A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief.--We have not an high
priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities.--It
became him, for whom [are] all things, and by whom [are] all things, in
bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation
perfect through sufferings.-- Though he were a Son, yet learned he
obedience by the things which he suffered.

I was not rebellious, neither turned away back. I gave my back to the
smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my
face from shame and spitting.

Behold how he loved him!--He took not on [him the nature of] angels;
but he took on [him] the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it
behoved him to be made like unto [his] brethren, that he might be a
merciful and faithful high priest in things [pertaining] to God, to make
reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Hello Gift of Grace family members. I just wanted to remind everyone to turn their clocks ahead 1 hour to night, its that time of year again. Daylight Saving Time. Hope to see you all at Church Sunday, Pastor Sam has a great service planed. Just a reminder that if you are having a birthday, anniversary please share those dates, with us so that we can up date our web page. Please no year, just the month and day. I leave you with this... see you all tomorrow.

I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able.

Able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.

Able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all
sufficiency in all [things], may abound to every good work.

Able to succour them that are tempted.

Able . . . to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him,
seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Able to keep you from falling, and to present [you] faultless before
the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.

Able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his
glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to
subdue all things unto himself.

Believe ye that I am able to do this? . . . According to your faith be
it unto you.

My times [are] in thy hand.

All his saints [are] in thy hand.--The word of the LORD came unto him,
saying, Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the
brook Cherith, that [is] before Jordan. And it shall be, [that] thou
shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee
there.--8. And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, Arise, get
thee to Zarephath, which [belongeth] to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I
have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.

Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall
drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.--Your heavenly Father
knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy
paths.--Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Ps 31:15 De 33:3 1Ki 17:2-4,8,9 Mt 6:25,32 Pr 3:5,6 1Pe 5:7

Also just a reminder that Saturday, March 8, 2008 we turn our clock ahead one hour. So remember before you turn in, set your clocks ahead 1 hour. Have a blessed evening.

I found this devotion interesting since our service on Sunday was "Why Faith" and this came in my E-mail today, so I thought I would share it with you all.

Fight the good fight of faith.

We were troubled on every side; without [were] fightings, within [were]
fears.--Fear not: for they that [be] with us [are] more than they that
[be] with them.--Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield:
but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the
armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.--God [is] my strength [and] power .
. . He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by
mine arms.--Our sufficiency [is] of God.

The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and
delivereth them.--Behold, the mountain [was] full of horses and chariots
of fire round about Elisha.

The time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and [of those] who through
faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped
the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge
of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight,
turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

Sundays Message
Why "Faith"

Scripture Lesson came from the book of:

Romans 1:13-19

13I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that I planned many times to come to you (but have been prevented from doing so until now) in order that I might have a harvest among you, just as I have had among the other Gentiles.
14I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish. 15That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are at Rome.
16I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 17For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,[a] just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."[b]
God's Wrath Against Mankind
18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.

Thou [art] the same, and thy years shall have no end.

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the
earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou [art]
God.

I [am] the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not
consumed.--The same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down
from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow
of turning.--The gifts and calling of God [are] without repentance.

God [is] not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he
should repent.--[It is of] the LORD'S mercies that we are not
consumed, because his compassions fail not.

This [man], because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable
priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come to
God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.--Fear
not; I am the first and the last.
