Message from Bible Study

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Hi and welcome to our site, I hope that you all find this site useful. And remember if there is anything that you would like to see on here please let us know and we will take care of getting it added to the site.

We would like to share with you our lesson from our Bible Study Class.
The Message was "The Power of Communion". I have put the scripture readings is I was going to put links, but since I seen that one of the was my favorite verse was Psalms 23. I just had to put them in so that you could just read them right here on the screen at a computer near you.

Psalm 22 ( Crucifixion )
For the director of music. To the tune of "The Doe of the Morning." A psalm of David.
1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me,
so far from the words of my groaning?

2 O my God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer,
by night, and am not silent.

3 Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One;
you are the praise of Israel. [a]

4 In you our fathers put their trust;
they trusted and you delivered them.

5 They cried to you and were saved;
in you they trusted and were not disappointed.

6 But I am a worm and not a man,
scorned by men and despised by the people.

7 All who see me mock me;
they hurl insults, shaking their heads:

8 "He trusts in the LORD;
let the LORD rescue him.
Let him deliver him,
since he delights in him."

9 Yet you brought me out of the womb;
you made me trust in you
even at my mother's breast.

10 From birth I was cast upon you;
from my mother's womb you have been my God.

11 Do not be far from me,
for trouble is near
and there is no one to help.

12 Many bulls surround me;
strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.

13 Roaring lions tearing their prey
open their mouths wide against me.

14 I am poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint.
My heart has turned to wax;
it has melted away within me.

15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd,
and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth;
you lay me [b] in the dust of death.

16 Dogs have surrounded me;
a band of evil men has encircled me,
they have pierced [c] my hands and my feet.

17 I can count all my bones;
people stare and gloat over me.

18 They divide my garments among them
and cast lots for my clothing.

19 But you, O LORD, be not far off;
O my Strength, come quickly to help me.

20 Deliver my life from the sword,
my precious life from the power of the dogs.

21 Rescue me from the mouth of the lions;
save [d] me from the horns of the wild oxen.

22 I will declare your name to my brothers;
in the congregation I will praise you.

23 You who fear the LORD, praise him!
All you descendants of Jacob, honor him!
Revere him, all you descendants of Israel!

24 For he has not despised or disdained
the suffering of the afflicted one;
he has not hidden his face from him
but has listened to his cry for help.

25 From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly;
before those who fear you [e] will I fulfill my vows.

26 The poor will eat and be satisfied;
they who seek the LORD will praise him—
may your hearts live forever!

27 All the ends of the earth
will remember and turn to the LORD,
and all the families of the nations
will bow down before him,

28 for dominion belongs to the LORD
and he rules over the nations.

29 All the rich of the earth will feast and worship;
all who go down to the dust will kneel before him—
those who cannot keep themselves alive.

30 Posterity will serve him;
future generations will be told about the Lord.

31 They will proclaim his righteousness
to a people yet unborn—
for he has done it.

Psalm 23 ( Respectively The Resurrection )
A psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,

3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.

4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death, [a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.

6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

Two angels "Goodness and Mercy" shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the lord forever. Amen.

Fear
Good Evening here is this Sunday's Message.

"The Fear of GOD"

Here is the scripture readings:

Proverbs 1:7

7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools [a] despise wisdom and discipline.

Proverbs 3:7-8

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the LORD and shun evil.

8 This will bring health to your body
and nourishment to your bones.

Related Scripture Readings
2 Corinthians 1:7
7And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

Matthew 10:28
28Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Psalm 27:1
Psalm 27
Of David.
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?

I hope you enjoy this message. I read these passages Sunday evening, and found them to be very interesting. So why do we fear GOD? Is it that we are afraid of him, or that we just know Know him or believe in him?

Invited
God has invited you. What once separated you has been removed.
Nothing remains between you and God but an open door.
Now in Christ Jesus, you who were far away from God are brought near through the blood of Christ.

Daily Blessing and Grace
Incorporating the principle of Ephesians 5:21, we are to be submissive to one another. Run an errand, do something for your mate without being asked, give small gifts, give a compliment when appropriate, be willing to say "I'm Sorry"

    Hello and Welcome

    Today's message was "How Do You Get To Heaven" So do you know the answer to this question. I believe that I will get to heaven if I Obey and Trust Him. But I am sure there are many ways for us to get to heaven. Today our Scripture came from the book of:

    Matthew 19:13-20

    The Little Children and Jesus 13Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them.

    14Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." 15When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.

    The Rich Young Man
    16Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?"

    17"Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments."

    18"Which ones?" the man inquired.

    Jesus replied, " 'Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, 19honor your father and mother,'[a] and 'love your neighbor as yourself.'[b]"

    20"All these I have kept," the young man said. "What do I still lack?"

    So for those who could not make a service today here is the scripture lesson for today.

    Also Brother Jim read from the book of:

    Luke 6:38

    38Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

    Also Brother Eugene shared the book of:

    Isaiah 14:13-14

    13 You said in your heart,
    "I will ascend to heaven;
    I will raise my throne
    above the stars of God;
    I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,
    on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. [a]

    14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;
    I will make myself like the Most High."

    As you can read we had a very powerful sermon today.

    Well I will share more of today's message with you through out the week.

    Also just another friendly reminder, please give your Name, address and Birthday, and Anniversaries (no years please) this is just so that we can add you name to our birthday list here on the page and to keep our records updated. If you have any questions please see Pastor Sam. Thanks again.

    Bodly
    As boldly as the center beam of the Cross proclaims God's Holiness, the cross beam declaers his love. And, oh, how wide he's love reaches.

    For God so loved the world that he gave, his one and only son, that who ever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

    Asking
    Our asking "where is God? Is like a fish asking "where is water"? or a Bird asking "where is air"?

    God is everywhere! Equally present in Peking and Peria. As active in the lives of Icelanders, as in the lives of Texans. The dominion of God is "From Sea To Sea and From River to the ends of the Earth".

    "Why"
    Why do Bad Things Happen to Good People?

    This was our Sunday Service Message for September 9th. So Why do Bad Things Happen to Good People? Is it to learn from? Or is it because of Sins of Others? I am sure there are many different reasons for this.

    Pastor Sam also gave us some scriptures to read. Romans 8:20, Romans 8:23 (Gods Love).II Samuels 17. So if you missed this past Sunday you can still check out his message to us. It is never to late to catch up on reading these scripture readings.

    Another tidbit was mentioned and that was Obedience is not an option its an obsessions. So if you have some free time just take the time to check out some of these scripture readings.

    Also just a reminder Bible Study on Wednesday,September 12, 2007 The Vazquez Home. Bible Study starts at 7:15pm. If you need directions, please give Pastor Sam a call.

    Also just a reminder The Gift of Grace family, we need to get your address and Birthday, anniversary no year. The reason we are doing this is just to update our files. Thanks for your cooperation in this matter. If you have any questions regarding this please feel free to contact Pastor Sam or the Secretary Rochelle.

    So has any one noticed any thing new to our page? I have made some little changes to it. And remember if you would like to see some things added or have anything that you might want to share please let us know and we will take care of getting it on to the page. Remember this is for our family at the Gift Of Grace.

    I have one more thing to ask you all. If there is any one out there that has some pictures that you have taken from one of our activities and they are on a CD, and you would like to share them with our site, I would like to add them to our photos, here on the page. Thanks Rochelle

    Paul Boasts About His Sufferings

    16I repeat: Let no one take me for a fool. But if you do, then receive me just as you would a fool, so that I may do a little boasting. 17In this self-confident boasting I am not talking as the Lord would, but as a fool. 18Since many are boasting in the way the world does, I too will boast. 19You gladly put up with fools since you are so wise! 20In fact, you even put up with anyone who enslaves you or exploits you or takes advantage of you or pushes himself forward or slaps you in the face. 21To my shame I admit that we were too weak for that!
    What anyone else dares to boast about—I am speaking as a fool—I also dare to boast about. 22Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they Abraham's descendants? So am I. 23Are they servants of Christ? (I am out of my mind to talk like this.) I am more. I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. 24Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. 25Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, 26I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my own countrymen, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false brothers. 27I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked. 28Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches. 29Who is weak, and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not inwardly burn?
    30If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. 31The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, who is to be praised forever, knows that I am not lying. 32In Damascus the governor under King Aretas had the city of the Damascenes guarded in order to arrest me. 33But I was lowered in a basket from a window in the wall and slipped through his hands.

    On The Cross
    While on the Cross Jesus felt the indignity and disgrace of a criminal No, he was not guilty, No he had not committed a sin, and No, he did not deserve to be sentenced. But you and I were, we had and we did.

    But you know that he appeared, so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no SIN.
