Sunday's Sermon
Good Morning, I thought I would get a head start on updating our site. For those who didn't attend Sunday's Service the Gift Of Grace was "Rockin" again. Thanks to Annette and Mark for our Music, what a wonderful job. Pastor Jim lead us into Our message which was the "Last Supper" and the Scripture lesson came from the book of:

Luke 22:7-17

The Last Supper

7Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. 8Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover."

9"Where do you want us to prepare for it?" they asked.

10He replied, "As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters, 11and say to the owner of the house, 'The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?' 12He will show you a large upper room, all furnished. Make preparations there."

13They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover.

14When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. 15And he said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God."

17After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, "Take this and divide it among you.

I also have some pictures to share with you, of the service on Sunday, which I will upload here later. But for now God Bless and have a great day.

PS: I will also be sharing with you what we have coming up in the months of November and December. So remember to check back later tonight and see whats exciting and new.

Thursday
I am not sure if you all know, but every Thursday I meet with Pastor Sam. We go over the bulletin for Sundays Services, music and comments that we get from our members at the Gift of grace. Well today was great, as I got to hear about all the great comments about last Sunday's service and I have to say, I really enjoyed the service last week my self. And if you all remember its Pastor appreciation month, and I for one have to say Pastor Sam has brought me back into house of the Lord and has brought me to understand him more and I know now that he is around me at all time. So Sam I am glad that I meet you.

And we would also like to thank Orlando Munoz and family for sharing their home with us to host our Wednesday, night Bible Study. Last night we focused on agreement and commitment, our scripture lesson came from the book of:

Psalm 91

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [a]

2 I will say [b] of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-

10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation."

Remember our Bible Study is every Wednesday from 7:15pm -8:15pm and if you would like us to come to your house, please let Pastor Sam know and we will arrange to be there. So now I will share some photos of last weeks services, so I hope that you all have a great night and God Bless you all.

I have more to share with you and I will. I will also put these in our photos on the left hand side of site.

Rockin

For those who missed our service on Sunday, you missed a great service. "The Gift of Grace was rockin". We had a great Service. Thanks to all who helped make it a great service. Also a thank you goes out to Pastor Sam's and his wife for the delicious food.
This weeks message was "Coping with Grief". The scripture lessons came from:

2 Samuel 12:13-25

13 Then David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the LORD."
Nathan replied, "The LORD has taken away your sin. You are not going to die. 14 But because by doing this you have made the enemies of the LORD show utter contempt, [a] the son born to you will die."

15 After Nathan had gone home, the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife had borne to David, and he became ill. 16 David pleaded with God for the child. He fasted and went into his house and spent the nights lying on the ground. 17 The elders of his household stood beside him to get him up from the ground, but he refused, and he would not eat any food with them.

18 On the seventh day the child died. David's servants were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they thought, "While the child was still living, we spoke to David but he would not listen to us. How can we tell him the child is dead? He may do something desperate."

19 David noticed that his servants were whispering among themselves and he realized the child was dead. "Is the child dead?" he asked.
"Yes," they replied, "he is dead."

20 Then David got up from the ground. After he had washed, put on lotions and changed his clothes, he went into the house of the LORD and worshiped. Then he went to his own house, and at his request they served him food, and he ate.

21 His servants asked him, "Why are you acting this way? While the child was alive, you fasted and wept, but now that the child is dead, you get up and eat!"

22 He answered, "While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept. I thought, 'Who knows? The LORD may be gracious to me and let the child live.' 23 But now that he is dead, why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me."

24 Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba, and he went to her and lay with her. She gave birth to a son, and they named him Solomon. The LORD loved him; 25 and because the LORD loved him, he sent word through Nathan the prophet to name him Jedidiah. [b]

Our songs of worship went well with the Service as Well. And a special thanks goes to Jeanette Mohess who sang the Song "You Are My Hero".

Also we are collecting recipes for the recipe book that we want to do around the holidays, please see the attached recipe form and to get a copy of it you may see Marilyn or Rochelle. We are going to have this published, so please give us your favorite recipes.

Now for the form:

Also don't forget about donating a gift for the after School program at the YMCA. Please see Rochelle for a name of a child.

I am still looking for those who have a birthday in October, so that I can put those names on the web site. I will not put any years just your name and the day. So if you have a birthday in October, please feel free to contact pastor Sam or Rochelle.

Today in History
This Day in History
Jupiter's Io Observed by Spacecraft Galileo (2001)
Photographs taken and transmitted by Galileo, the unmanned spacecraft launched in 1989, allowed scientists to learn more about lo, the innermost of Jupiter's four Galilean moons. The images revealed erupting volcanoes and extraordinary variations in color and brightness. Other data indicated that lo has an iron core and might have its own gravitational field. What is the origin of Io's name?

I thought I would share this with you all. I found it searching and found it interesting. I am glad that you all had a great time at the Beach. I am sorry that I could not join in the activities, this time. The past few weeks I was fighting the cold and it won and I lost. But I am better now and the cold is now losing. I heard that you all had a great time.

Just a reminder of some of our activities that are coming up. A Memorial Luncheon for Pastor Sam's Mother Mary, October 21, 2007 after Church Services. November 10, 2007 we have the Garage Sale at the YMCA. In December we also have the the Donating gifts to the after school program at the YMCA. If you are interesting in this please see Pastor Sam and pick a child. We have some other fun activities also coming up, so stayed tuned. Also if there is any thing that you would like to add to this site or you have some news that you would like to share please feel free to e-mail Pastor Sam at kall487@aol.com or Rochelle at flaca63us@yahoo.com. We will make sure that it gets added to our site, and remember this site is for you, so join in the fun and helps us with getting some information on to it.

God Bless you all and have a great night.

Update and More Update
Good evening GOG. We are glad that you could stop by and check out our site. For those who missed our great service on Sunday, then you'll have to read this posting. It was a great. Our message was "The Power of Patience". The Scripture lessons came from the book of James.

James 5:1-11

James 5
Warning to Rich Oppressors
1Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming upon you. 2Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. 3Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. 4Look! The wages you failed to pay the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. 5You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter.[a] 6You have condemned and murdered innocent men, who were not opposing you.

Patience in Suffering
7Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. 8You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near. 9Don't grumble against each other, brothers, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door!

10Brothers, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. 11As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

So do you have patience. I know that there are times that I do not. But after Sundays message, I am sure to change that and make time for patience.

We also shared in the dedication of Pastor Jim Singh. What a beautiful part of service that was. I will share some photos with you on that later in this posting.

Also let me share with you:

When God opened the Heavens he placed a lot of stars in Heaven and some on Earth and Jim is one of the Stars on Earth. He is a graduate from Faith Christian University. He is a humble man of God and a wonderful teacher of the word.
Pastor Sam

The Gift of Grace and Pastor Sam is proud to ave you as one of the pastors of the GOG. You are truly a blessing and together with your wife Nancy we welcome you all with Love and Grace. Thanks Nancy and Jim.....

Also don't forget Sunday, October 14, 2007 our Beach Baptismal at Melbourne Beach. We have a bus which will be leaving the YMCA at 9:30am. There will be a short service before leaving at 9:00am. Okay, before this gets to become a novel, I'll leave you with some photos of Sunday. The rest of them I will load into the photo section of our page. Enjoy and God Bless you all.

Sorry for The Delay
I tried to post this posting last night but my internet service was as slow as molasses in January. I wanted to share with you the message from our Bible Study on Wednesday night which was held at Brother Persad's house. We are studying the book of James.

James 1

1James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,
To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations:
Greetings.
Trials and Temptations
2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

I have put a couple of versus from the book of James. I will share with you more later on the book of James.

Also just a reminder any one having a birthday, in October please let the secretary or Pastor Sam know, so that we can share it on our site. Only your first name will be used.
Have a great day and God Bless.

Sorry For the Late Posting
Good afternoon, sorry I haven't posted but here we are at last. Sundays' Church services was great. We had a total of 30adults and 2 Children. Its great to see our Church full on Sundays. Pastor Sam's Message was "How to Pray the Prayer of Faith"

Our Scripture lessons were:

Romans 8:14-17
14because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship.[a] And by him we cry, "Abba,[b] Father." 16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. 17Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Galatians 4:1-7

Galatians 4

1What I am saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. 2He is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. 3So also, when we were children, we were in slavery under the basic principles of the world. 4But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, 5to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. 6Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba,[a] Father." 7So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.

Here are some related scripture readings:

Isaiah 43:25-26

25 "I, even I, am he who blots out
your transgressions, for my own sake,
and remembers your sins no more.

26 Review the past for me,
let us argue the matter together;
state the case for your innocence.

Bible Study was held by Pastor Jim and he read from the book of:

Proverbs 4:20-22
20 My son, pay attention to what I say;
listen closely to my words.

21 Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart;

22 for they are life to those who find them
and health to a man's whole body.

Cleona S.
Also wanted to thank all those who helped with bags that were prepared for the Army. All went well with that.

We also have some great activities coming up in the month of October and in fact right through December. Some of those activities are listed in the right had side of our page. I will be updating that with more fun activities, as we get them
finalized. Well I must go for now, so God Bless you all and hope to see you Wednesday at our Bible Study. I will put more details about our class here tomorrow as the location of it.
